I’m Alex Hopkins, a freelance journalist, copywriter, editor and fiction writer.
I’ve over 14 years experience writing on a very diverse range of topics - everything from sex and relationships to war. I love variety!
A former subeditor for The Guardian, I hold a BA (1st class hons.) in English from Queen Mary, University of London, and an MA in English (Sexual Dissidence and Cultural Change) from the University of Sussex. I’m also a certified copywriter and web editor.
A seasoned public speaker, I’ve debated at The Cambridge Union and given talks at The University of Cambridge, the University of London and Central Saint Martins.
I’m a published writer of fiction and a former judge on the Polari Book Prize.
