I’ve been working as a freelance journalist for over 14 years. My career has been nothing if not eclectic and fascinating - I love embracing new challenges!
Back in 2011, I started out reviewing arts and culture events for charity Culture 24, before moving onto LGBTQ+ journalism. I’d go on to write regularly for London’s Time Out and Gay Star News.
My dream job came in 2014: executive editor of independent magazine Beige, Across two wild and wonderful years, I interviewed everyone from Andy Bell to Rankin, Peter Tatchell and Will Young.
From there it was on to editing regional title Sussex Style, before taking a sharp left turn…
In 2016, I began working for Airwars, a not-for-profit transparency watchdog tracking, assessing and investigating civilian harm claims in conflict-affected nations.
Starting out as web and data producer, I progressed to research manager, overseeing all web publishing, authoring data-driven monthly and annual reports (including fundraising bids) and contributing to submissions to UK Parliament.
