  • "The work Alex has done for us as a copy-editor at Inkandescent exhibits a high level of skill and experience of working with the word. He has a merciless eye for inconsistencies and errors within text, and helps us ready our manuscripts for publication. It’s always reassuring to know that he has scrutinized a book, sentence by sentence, before it goes to print He does a stellar job—consistent, reliable and always bang on time."

  • "I really enjoyed working with Alex. His feedback was thoughtful, perceptive and extremely thorough, helping me better understand areas such as structure, pacing, characterisation, point of view and the balance between showing and telling. He was honest about what needed further work while also recognising and encouraging the strengths in my writing. His suggestions were clear, constructive and practical, giving me a much stronger sense of direction for the next draft. Most importantly, I came away from the process feeling more confident in both my work and my ability as a writer. I would highly recommend him."
