I’m Alex Hopkins, a writer, developmental editor, and book coach with over fourteen years of experience working with gloriously unconventional creatives and LGBTQ+ folk.

My background is in journalism. I’ve edited magazines, been a sub-editor for The Guardian, and a research manager for leading not-for-profit transparency watchdog Airwars.

I’m a former judge of the Polari Book Prize. My fiction has been published in several anthologies, I’ve written and edited my first novel, and am a full member of Leather Lane Writers Group, founded by Costa-shortlisted author Kit de Waal.
